The detection runs on sunlight, so no cable needed.

Vans full of tools, trailers and equipment on a dark site where nobody is around. The ShieldDefender® mounts on the fence or the façade, runs on sunlight and reacts as soon as someone enters the site: 120 decibels and bright light on the spot, plus an alert on your phone. The control panel hangs inside the office or warehouse, so you don't need to run a single cable across your site.

Aim it at the spot where someone comes in: the gate, the passage between the buildings, the lane along the vans. Each ShieldDefender sees about twelve to fifteen metres across a 110-degree angle, so for an average business site you need two to four. Mount them high enough to be out of reach, and point them inwards — across your own site, not over the public road. Also keep the detection within 150 metres of the control panel; if your site is larger, place the control panel more centrally or switch to the Elite version.
A cleared-out van easily costs you a few thousand euros in tools, plus a day of downtime for the crew who would have used it. A site with a few detectors and a control panel costs a fraction of that, once and without a subscription. If you run several locations, the system simply moves with you when you relocate.
You do need to aim it carefully. The ShieldDefender has two sensitivity levels and is pet-friendly, so a cat or a bird won't set it off. Where things go wrong is if you aim it at the pavement or the public road — then it reacts to everyone walking past and you'll switch it off within a week. So aim it inwards across your own site, and set it to low sensitivity if there's a lot of movement around it.
