Can I replace my old alarm control panel and keep my sensors?
Yes — that's exactly what ShieldBridge® does. You get a new control panel with an app, while your existing window contacts, PIRs and usually smoke detectors too keep working. A hybrid alarm system like this — wired where possible, wireless where needed — combines the best of both without anything having to come out of the wall.
Is this cheaper than an installer rewiring everything?
Often, yes, and above all it saves time: nothing needs to be run through the walls again. You pay once for the control panel and, if needed, ShieldBridge® — nothing recurring.
Do I get professional monitoring with it?
No — and your old system probably didn't include it either, unless you paid for it separately. What you do get: instant alerts on your phone, 4G backup without Wi-Fi, and a new outdoor siren if you want one.
